notes from October —
Gosh, what a busy month! Definitely super memorable though, In EMT we did an extra credit human pyramid, I didn’t expect that one, but we did it! My back was KILLING me after though, I don’t think id recommend….
Our schools Breast Cancer Awareness pink out game vs. South Lyon East, the cross town rival game is always my favorite, its the most jam packed game of the season, but seeing all my old friends from east is nice. Our red out game happened early into the month as well, AMAZING!!! I always love red out.
We had some solid SLFD trainings, but Survival Flight definitely stuck out the most to me, besides standing around for about 1 1/2 hours. It was a joint training with about 3 other departments, I believe, I saw some people from church and old family friends, what a small world we live in!
HOMECOMING!! I remember freshman year I had DREAMED of being on Homecoming Court, not even winning, just being there in a pretty dress, in front of the town, and y’all, I WAS ON HOMECOMING COURT!! 14 year old me would be screaming if she saw this, as I was walking down, whoever was on shift from the FD flashed their lights and sirens and everyone cheered so loud, it was so memorable and i’m so proud of myself. The football game was my favorite, better than the dance, dare I say. The day after Mike and I went out to Jennys Cider Mill out in Dexter, MI, it was so beautiful and fun, I love it out there.
Halloween was a success to end off the month, a real busy day! Zoe, Mike, our “almost brother” Parker, and I all went trick or treating (lets be honest, you’re never too old.), we were just a bunch of firefighters. Mike and I had left early though and got into our other costumes, can you guess? Classic, deer and hunter. We stopped at the playoffs game because they were home but left after maybe 15 minutes. We went to Peters house for a Halloween party, we only stayed for an hour because we’re not too big of partiers anymore, but I had loads of fun while we were there.
What a beautiful month, full of love!
